I am having just the best day.

This came in the mail, and was sitting on my front porch with no disguise whatsoever (good thing there's a big bush that hid it, geez).

AND THEN, I got some watercolors, and a sketchbook, and some other artsy craps.  And I love them.  I'm too tired to try them out tonight though.

 
It was a good day, a real good day, chap (and not just because I got some junk in the mail).  Thanks for asking.

Sewing machine!

This summer, my housband worked real hard at a gold mine and made some money.  I told him I wanted a sewing machine for my birthday, but it worked out that he was going to send me to Denver with his little sister for the weekend after instead.

And one blown up car engine later, I didn't go to Denver.  I was sad.  Real sad.

But THEN he saved money for me & gave it to me in a wad of cash so I could buy a sewing machine.  I ordered it today from Amazon (that website is my best friend, by the way), and I am so so soooooooooooo excited to get it.

I'm hoping to make so many skirts for myself, mostly because I am really tired of buying expensive (or even not expensive) skirts which don't fulfill all my hopes and dreams.  I have a lot of skirt dreams, you know?

I bought a Brother machine.  I've been going back and forth between this one and a Singer, but there were so many bad reviews on newer Singer machines that I ultimately decided on this one.  So, if you have it and hate it............ maybe don't tell me right now.
