My girls' newborn photos
I feel like I'm doing this a lot lately, but I posted a bunch of my girls' newborn photos on my photo blog right here: http://www.ashleygammillphotography.com/2012/11/ruby-and-emerson-newborn-photos.html.
Tomorrow, they're 7 months! So it only took me that long to get to posting those... yeah. And to think, we made it past the insane newborn no sleep situation we had going there for a while.
Woohoo!!!!

Fire! Sale!
(Do you guys watch Arrested Development? I've been watching it lately on netflix while I work out. Best workouts ever. I actually look forward to doing it.)
I just want to be a little bit like Tobias Funke right now and let you know there's a FIRE!!!!!!! Oh my goodness there's a FIRE!!!!!!! sale.
But really, there's a sale. Of mine.
This is awkward.
What I'm really trying to say is this: if you're located in Northern Utah and you want some photos for your Christmas cards (so you can send your grandma and your Aunt Beatrice and little brother SOMETHING this year), I'm doing a sale on my photography services.
I can photograph whatever you want, let's just keep it G-rated though, ok?
The deal is this: 20% any session you can imagine. Here's the catch: you have to book by next Friday, November 16, in order to get the discount.
Tell your mom, tell your friends, tell your dog. Once it's November 17, this offer is no good! You can see pretty much the same post over on my blog here. But with a different photo. Because I like to shake it up.
And we all know the real reason you come to this blog anymore is for these girls. I'm ok with it.

I have NOT
abandoned blog... I've just been busy.
With stuff like this photo:
Last weekend, we traveled to Ketchum (near Sun Valley), Idaho, and it was kind of magical. Sounds corny, but that's just how I feel. I'll tell you more about it later.

So...
I have a lot of random visitors to this site. Hi, visitors! But, what I'd really like, is if you're a regular reader/never-commenter, say hi. Maybe your first name and location? I'd just like to get an idea of who's out there.
In other news, I've been sick this week. It's like a weird head-cold thing. The last few years, I haven't been SICK sick, just mildly sick. I'd almost rather get really sick and then be healthy for a long while than be sick like this twice a year. It's kind of annoying.
I dreamed I got a third job last night. It was a definite step down, but at least in my dream I got a new pair of shoes from it.
Also: seriously, say hi. I know there are a few people who probably read my blog pretty often who never say anything. You're hurting all two of my feelings. Ok, not really. Seriously though. Who are you?
Just a few photos from a Sunday at my in-laws' house.
OH, and if you're curious, I've been posting photos on my official photo blog from my workshop. Check it OUT!
Have a great Thursday.

An adventure
It all began at a garage sale. He found these sweet glasses (for free),

and we found something else. Our new friend, Ichabod. I'll show you him later.
Then, we drove out to Antelope Island. We didn't see any antelope, but we saw some buffalo.

After that, we parked the car and headed for the saltiest lake I've ever seen.

It kind of looked like a real beach by the ocean.
And then Ichabod made his first appearance.

And contrary to what one of us thought, he is NOT a duck with an odd neck. Hence the name Ichabod.
Then we walked a while to my favorite part of the adventure.

Skipping rocks! My pockets were full of them, and I have some at home now.

That's me. Hello. I'm pretty sure I've never put a photo up here of my face before.
Ichabod in his old semi-natural habitat.

It was a great day. And now I think I'm going to move to Antelope Island. You can ask my husband... I probably talk about it once a day. Good day, everyone.

Tricky, tricky.
I have a lot of photos to show you. But first.
He wants to live near the mountains. He's a mountain-bred boy, and he wants to stay near them.
I want the ocean. The whole thing. In my front yard.
So, I say, how about California?
Too many people, he says.
East Coast?
No interest, he says. What about Colorado?
I think, Even further from the ocean? I don't know...
How about Washington or Oregon? I say, hoping he'll like these options.
Those could work, he says.
And I am ecstatic. Rain + ocean + somewhere new? Glorious.
I think too much about the future.
